PetSupp?! ("the app," "we," "us") is a pet food label scanner and recall monitor. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle. Our approach is simple: we collect as little as possible.
The app does not ask for or collect personal information such as your name, email address, mailing address, or location. You do not create an account to use it.
The foods you save to monitor for recalls are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us or to any server, and we cannot see them.
When you scan a barcode, search by name, or the app checks your saved foods for recalls, it sends only the barcode number, search text, or product/brand name to two public databases: Open Pet Food Facts (ingredient lookups) and the FDA's public food enforcement database, openFDA (recall lookups). These requests do not include any personal information about you.
If you enable Pro's automatic recall monitoring, the app requests permission to send local notifications. These alerts are generated and delivered entirely on your device - no notification content is sent through a third-party push service.
PetSupp?! offers an optional Pro subscription. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit; we never see or receive your payment details, and no third-party subscription-management service is used.
The app does not use third-party analytics or advertising services, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
PetSupp?! is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
PetSupp?! reports information printed on pet food labels and public FDA recall data. It is informational only and is not veterinary advice or a diagnosis.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
